Calvin D. Armerding, MA, LPC



Calvin is Senior Associate and co-founder of Travelers Rest Counseling Associates, where he counsels adults, parents, and couples. He is the President of the South Carolina Society of Adlerian Psychology, author of The Cooperative Family: How Ridding Ourselves of Competitive Goals Helps Us Flourish (2021), and a regular presenter at Adlerian conferences. This summer, he will join the faculty of ICASSI in The Netherlands.



Kristen J. Aycock, PhD (Psychologist)



Dr. Aycock received her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Georgia State University in 2011. She is currently in private practice at Perspectives Counseling Inc. in Atlanta, GA. She has presented at the local, state and national levels.



Gary S. Bauman, PhD, NBCC, LPC, CPCS



Dr. Bauman received his Ph.D. in Counseling from Georgia State University in 2000. He is currently a professor of psychology and the graduate program coordinator at Brenau University as well he is in independent private practice in Braselton. Dr. Bauman has presented at numerous conferences at the state, national and international levels.



Susan E. Belangee, PhD, LPC, NCC, ACS



Dr. Belangee received her PhD in Counseling from Georgia State University in 2003. She recently completed her tenure as the President of the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology. She is in private practice at Canton Counseling in Canton, GA and is a faculty instructor for the International Committee of Adlerian Summer Schools and Institutes. She has presented at the state, national and international levels.



Dr. Frey received her PhD in Counselor Education and Practice from Georgia State University in 2007. She is currently in private practice at Frey Counseling and Consulting Services, PC serving as an adjunct instructor with Mercer University’s PhD Counselor Education program, Master’s in Community Mental Health, and Bachelor’s Criminal Justice programs, and is on the editorial staff for the Journal of Individual Psychology. She has presented at the local, state, national and international level.

Brandy K. Nicholson, LPC, NCC, ccmhc, RPT



BRANDY NICHOLSON HaS A PH.D. in counselor education and supervision from the UNIVERSITY OF THE CUMBERLANDS. SHE IS A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR IN GEORGIA AND IS A REGISTERED PLAY THERAPIST WHO HAS TRAINED UNDER TERRY KOTTMAN, THE FOUNDER AND DEVELOPER OF ADLERIAN PLAY THERAPY. SHE HAS SPECIFIC TRAINING IN THE AREA OF TRAUMA AND HAS BEEN TRAINED AS AN EMDR THERAPIST. BRANDY IS ALSO A REGISTERED YOGA TEACHER (RYT-200) AND INCORPORATES YOGA TECHNIQUES INTO THERAPY AND SPECIFICALLY IN THE TREATMENT OF TRAUMA, ANXIETY, AND DEPRESSION. SHE HAS PRESENTED FOR THE PAST Three YEARS FOR THE GSAP CONFERENCE.



Tara Overzat, PhD, LPC, NCC



Dr. Overzat has presented on the topic of LGBTQ+ matters and counseling at the national, state, and local levels. She has co-presented Safe Zone trainings (LGBTQ+ focused trainings) at the University of North Georgia and presented on issues of counseling LGBTQ+ individuals for colleagues looking to expand their working knowledge of this population. Dr. Overzat has lived experience and has worked professionally with counseling LGBTQ+ individuals for 9 years. She is the CEO and Primary Therapist of Getting Overzat, LLC (https://www.gettingoverzat.com/) and specializes in working with LGBTQ+, international, and immigrant clients.



Stacy Daniel Sampson, MS, NBCC, LPC



MS. SAMPSON RECEIVED HER MASTER OF SCIENCE IN CLINICAL COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY FROM BRENAU UNIVERSITY IN 2008. She is the founder and owner of OASIS COUNSELING CENTER, a PRIVATE PRACTICE AT IN ATHENS, GA.she specializes in working with trauma, particularly domestic violence survivors, and has been trained in EMDR. Additionally, Ms. Sampson has completed over 180 hours of sex therapy training has has been certified in the state of fl and is working towards AASECT Certification. She HAS PRESENTED AT THE LOCAL AND STATE LEVEL.
